TALENT DEVELOPMENT
IGNITION GRANTS
OVERVIEW
The Ignition Grant provides financial support and mentorship for innovative Fresno County Science Fair projects addressing challenges in agriculture and food systems. Designed for high school students, the program inspires young scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs to apply creativity and research toward building a more sustainable and resilient food future in California’s Central Valley. Participants work alongside educators, researchers, and industry mentors to design solutions in areas such as digital agriculture and data science, automation and equipment design, drought resiliency and stewardship, and small farm and food entrepreneurship.
